Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am a Registered Psychotherapist and member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I completed my training at the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy (TIRP) - a rigorous graduate psychotherapy program accredited by the CRPO. I am also a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy.

I am a Type 1 Diabetic, have experience navigating chronic illness as well as caregiver fatigue. In addition to my work as a therapist, I am a fine art photographer and beloved dog dad.

my positionality

I move through this world as a Queer, Trans-masculine able-bodied person of colour. I acknowledge my privilege in being able to access both personal healing work and specialized trainings in psychotherapy. I recognize that our lived experiences and the communities we belong to shape how we interact with ourselves and each other. I strive to work from an anti-oppressive lens, explicitly naming the systems that exist around and within us. I accept that I will inevitably make mistakes, and I acknowledge the faults, flaws and biases I carry - both seen and unseen - that stem from my privilege and positionality. It is my belief that we are all equally deserving of genuine connection, care and support. In that space, it is my hope that healing and transformation are possible.

I recognize that my practice exists on the land known as Tkaronto, the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. I acknowledge that land acknowledgements do not equate to land back actions. This acknowledgement is an ongoing commitment to learning, understanding and shedding light on historical injustices.
